The 11th Fadjr International Festival of Visual Arts holds from February 5 to march 15.
The 11th Fadjr International Festival of Visual Arts, annually holding in Iran, opens in Museum of the Qasr prison from February 5 to march 15.
The event provide the ground for development of contemporary Iranian art. It also creates opportunities for raising awareness and promoting Iranian art.
The Festival is going to cover 10 art fields. It includes “Illustration”, “Calligraphy”, “Ceramic”, “caricature and Cartoon”, “Graphics”, “Photography”, “Sculpture”, “Painting”, “miniature” and “modern Arts (video Art, , Performance Art and Layout)”. The event pivots around a “Free” theme and aims to introduce and represent the latest works of Iranian artists. Other goals consider the innovative artistic achievements in the aforementioned 10 fields.
Ibrahim Haghighi direct the 11th Fadjr International Festival of Fine Arts. He is a graphic artist and university professor.
What statistics say?
The secretariat of the festival has received 13,792 artworks created by a total of 5761 artists. 2937 participants are female and 2824 are male.
According to Haghighi, the festival’s director, artworks have been sent to the festival from 31 provinces across the country. In participating 2257 artists, the province of Tehran is in the first rank. The provinces of Khorasan Razavi, Isfahan, Alborz, Fars, Azarbaijan, Khuzestan, Gilan and Mazandaran positioned as second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.
The accepted artists receive the Golden statue of Toba, a certificate of appreciation and some Cash prize in this Festival. The artist winners have an offer of sabbatical Leaves to Cite des Arts.
Moreover, all the artists who get the chance to participate in the exhibition get a Certificate of Attendance and the festival’s book. They also can be a member of the Institute for Promotion of Contemporary Visual Arts.
